Siddharth Jharia is an Architect by academics and an artist by birth. He did his BArch from the prestigious institute IIT, Roorkee(erstwhile University of Roorkee) inthe year 2000. He is pursuing a successful career in Architecture and Interiors. Siddharth used watercolour only in Academics until 1997-98.Eventually, almost after 20 years in March 2017, he felt an urge to also pursueFine Arts alongside his primary profession: Architecture. It was a moment of great pride, when the legendry artist and sculptor Padma Bhushan Ram Vanji Suthar appreciated, saying Siddharth has a natural hold on such a hard medium like watercolour whichis not common. Siddharth captures common people in their instinctive state. His paintings convey moods and expressions beautifully. His creative works are amalgamation of brilliant colours, dynamic compositions and meaningful messages. His key to a successful watercolour artwork is self-assessment of mistakes, patient hard-work and total dedication. Siddharthalso considers other mediums like Oil, Graphite, Charcoal and Indian Ink as great modes to work on. Watercolour being the most unforgiving medium to work on, poses serious challenges for the artists. Visualizing the natural contour that creates a 3-dimensional figure is a basic trait of an artist. Sculpting with air-dry clay interests Siddharth a lot as it adds that 3rd Dimension physically into the artwork.
