Ruchi Chadha
Graduated from College of Arts New Delhi (1993), I have trained under prominent artists like Niren Sen, Paramjit Singh, SubratoKundu, Bilash Bose, S.N Lahiri. Learning a lot under their guidance, gradually I have developed my own style. I am deeply influenced by water, and one can see fluidity of colour and movement of water in my works.
“For me art is devotion. Art touches ones life. It opens the doors to the depth of ones heart. Art is very important in life for relieving oneself, and the vibrancy of colours, tones, textures and various other mediums help a person to grow further in life deepening a thought process and to relieve oneself from the daily challenges one faces.”
As my love for nature has no bounds and as it has new facets every day, I take my inspiration from nature. So you will find the freshness of nature, the richness of colours, serenity, peace and passion in my work. My current series “Towards Light” focuses mainly on the Lotus flower underwater. It teaches one to never give up hope, no matter what, and to keep on moving forward in life, shining brightly as the Lotus Flower glows in spite of growing in muddy water.
